Spain Audio Visual Visa
In an effort to strengthen Spain’s creative economy, the Spanish government introduced the Audiovisual Visa to attract professionals in film, television, advertising, digital media, and the performing arts. This residence permit is available to actors, filmmakers, content creators, marketing specialists, artist managers, and technical staff such as sound and lighting engineers. Applicants can also incorporate a company in Spain (S.L.) to operate as managers or producers in the audiovisual industry.
The Audiovisual Visa allows foreign professionals to legally live and work in Spain while their families can join them under family reunification rights. Residency permits are typically issued within 2–3 months and are valid for renewable periods. Visa holders enjoy visa-free travel within the Schengen Area, access to European banking, tax benefits, high-quality healthcare, and free education for their children.
After 5 years of continuous residence, applicants may apply for permanent residency, and after 10 years, they may qualify for Spanish citizenship. Newborn children of visa holders can obtain Spanish citizenship within just 1 year.
